Nicely done

Spaghetti Western meets Samurai Jack. Nice.

Song at the end...

...instant classic!

When's the next season start? Three days?

I want to ride a sandworm!

That was pretty badass. Definitely a worthy homage to one of my favorite movies of all time! Animation was pretty slick, and the music fit pretty well. It reminded me of the music from old Dune game from like....1991 I think. Damn, has it been that long? I'm getting old!

Anyway, Great Job!

Amazing!

Wow, this series really brings back memories of when I was young. I had fun figuring out who/what all the characters in the background were! Did I see Jazz Jackrabbit and the guy from Crystal Caves back there?

Great job! And thanks for bringing back memories of an era of video games we'll never have again!

OMG!

One word:

Epic.

This deserves a MUCH higher score...

2.65?! What the fuck?! This deserves nothing less than a 3.5. Oh well, what do you expect? No hentai AND no violence!

Anyway, as for the movie...excellent style, perfect timing. Loved the "fade" to black at the end with the notes.

The music is probably not for everyone's taste, although I thought it was good. It sorta reminds of early David Bowie, I dunno why. Maybe the vocals.

A damn good movie, overall. Keep making more. Don't let the fact that your movie is getting under-appreciated. Believe me, I know how it feels.

TOTALLY...FUCKING...AWESOME!

As a HUGE fan of the C&C series, I'd like to say that it's about damn time somebody made a worthy tribute !

This movie brought back memories from 15 years ago or so...the original C&C came out in '93, right? I think....

Now, on to the Flash itself:

Excellent graphics...superb use of sprites (and I don't usually like sprite movies).
Voice-acting was hilarious and sounded crystal clear. As for the music...well...Frank Klepacki is the fuckin' man!
The humor in this movie derives from the game itself (i.e. Harvester taking a "shortcut" straight through the enemy base, the unfairness of the GDI's Ion Cannon, and the shittiness of the Nod's nuke) so people who have not played the game cannot relate to it, and will thus find it unfunny. However, I laughed my ass off.

Overall, this movie rocked! Thank you for a nice piece of nostalgia, too. 5'd.

I always try to make an effort to write a lengthy if not helpful review, and this has surely been long enough.
Cheers!

Killerratte responds:

Thanks, long reviews are awesome.

Yeah, the harvester thing was something i came up with after thinking about old C&C problems. Did you notice that the Ion cannon got hit by the nuke, and that was the actual thing that caused the explosion. Also, you should know that you only saw 60 % of the movie content ... ehehehe.

I actually thought the Nod nuke was very devastating, compared to the Red Alert one (that thing was a goddamn joke).

What a load of New Age garbage...

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on subjects such as this, so I was quite surprised that I had no freaking idea what this movie was talking about. Perhaps the whole 7/17/07 thing was mentioned in one of the many books I've read, but I probably brushed it off as random hippy crap.

So I decided to do a little research into this topic. What I discovered was quite pathetic and sad. I will even go so far as to say that I was slightly disgusted by it all. First and foremost, I realized exactly what I was in for the second I saw the words "star children" and "light beings". Following that was a list of books on the subject (with links to websites from which said book can be bought). There were also CD's of musicians who supposedly got their "inspiration" from such beings (coupled with links to websites where they could be purchased).

I then decided to take a look for some scientific evidence supporting this nonsense. You know...things like renewals of 26,000-year galactic cycles, rare once-in-a-lifetime alignments of celestial bodies, the passing of a comet or even an eclipse of sorts. Following this would have to be some kind of mathematical equation and evidence to back up claims that such events have (or had) any effect on humanity or even the planet itself. Instead, I found more bullshit; testimonials from people who came into contact with these "light beings", who then told them about the whole "Firing the Grid" crap. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about when I say that phrase.

The problem with this (and all New Age crap for that matter) is that you always have to take it with a high level of faith. That just brings us back to the same reason people gave up religion and turned to this instead. Believing in this is just as insane as believing in God or whatever.

I could also compare this to Scientology. It's simply taking advantage of people who yearn for some form of spirituality, but have given up hope on the major, organized religions. It's not a cult...it's a pyramid scheme.

Well, I don't really know why I wrote so damn much in this review. I don't enjoy knocking somebody's point of view or beliefs, but when they start advertising it like it's the "next big thing", I tend to take offense...especially when, at it's core, it's only purpose is to sell merchandise.

Alright, I'm cuttin this off now before it gets any longer. Apologies for this massive essay...

Decent...

You got some serious potential. Only advice I can think of is spend more time drawing the backgrounds. It seems like you spent all your energy on the characters, and rushed the backgrounds. As it is, they just don't seem to fit. If you drew the backgrounds in the same style as you drew the characters, then this movie would be bad-fucking-ass.

Believe me, I know how it is when drawing an animated characters...and then afterwards have very little energy or patience to spend several hours drawing a background that's only going to be seen for a handful of seconds. Or maybe you just think you can't draw good backgrounds. Trust me, you can.

Okay, enough of my speech.

Someone's been drinking...

To me, this (and the first one) seems like you got real plastered and recorded yourself telling your own personal, drunken account of these classic fairy tales and decided to animate a puppet show to go with the resulting sound clip.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not knockin it at all. In fact, it's a genius idea...not to mention hilarious. Keep it up!
