Holy CRAP!

I was in disbelief when I saw that anybody remembers Incubation. That came out in what, '97? And I remember it being faaaaar ahead of its time.

I guess I'm not the only one out there that feels a little nostalgic about those old, great, somewhat obscure games. This game is awesome and it totally makes me want to dig up my Incubation CD and probably end up spending hours attempting to get it to work.

What's next, a flash reboot of Shadow Warrior or Terminal Velocity? How about Terra Nova (no, not the gay TV show, to those uninformed)?

I spent WAY too much time playing this...

This is a pretty badass game, but the only problem for me was that endurance mode was waaaaaay too easy. Unless I just figured out the perfect combo of factories; 3 pyramids right of the bat, a radio tower, then a tank factory. Anything else after that was just overkill. Seriously, I left it running while I made breakfast, took a crap, and smoked a cigarette. When I finally came back after an hour my base was still running strong without a single point of damage.

Anyway, I liked the retro-style graphics and the music was pretty catchy. Gameplay/interface was pretty smooth, and the progression of difficulty was just right. Except for the ease of endurance mode, this was a pretty solid game.

Very fun, addictive game!

Anyone who thought this game was "too hard" obviously never got to the point where you get the laser pistol. Holy crap! Once I got that, I went entire levels without getting hit once.

I thought the angle in which you could hit enemies was fitting, otherwise the game would be TOO easy. It seemed to take a bit of strategy, even if it seemed like a mindless zombie shooter. Maybe next time everyone would be happy if all the zombies would just walk in a straight line into their bullets. Just a thought...

Anyway, fantastic game; graphics, sound, and style. Oh, and the sunglasses on the ground that you can pick up was a nice touch.

Great Job!

Great Potential

For your first flash game, this isn't too bad. With a little bit of polishing, I think this game could be really kickass.

First of all, the graphics on the guy is pretty good, but I felt the rest of it could have been better. The rings are okay, but the platforms look pretty awful. The background seemed kind of boring and disorienting if I accidentally flew out of view of the rings or a platform. Something simple like a few layers of clouds on the bottom edge of the screen would probably make it look better.

The sound was okay, but the ring sound from Sonic the Hedgehog seemed annoying as hell. The music was a little boring. However, the jetpack sounded really good!

I felt there was really no point in a scoring system. As long as you went through the ring, you got the points. Maybe make it so you have to fly through the rings in a specific order to get points from them. That would certainly add more of a challenge.

All in all, this a good start to a pretty sweet game. Hope my critique can help you improve upon it!

This game is badass!

This was a damn fun shooting gallery-style game that most certainly had a very original style to it. The art style reminded me of the old game "Executioners". I doubt ANYBODY remembers that game. Good choice of music, too. It kept me pumped up and ready to unload another clip into some poor bastard.

In fact, I only had two gripes about this game:
1. The crosshairs seemed kinda thin...maybe thicken the lines up just a tad. I found it a tad difficult to see at times...but then again, my eyesight is pretty terrible.
2. Some of the sound effects were kind of...well...not so great. The gun definitely needs to have a much more prominent gunshot sound, to complement the ultra-violent nature of this game.

Other than that, great game, and keep up the good work!

Is this a joke?

Was this serious, or just sarcasm? Cuz this is just full of meaningless rhetoric that proves absolutely nothing.

As for the technical side of it....I don't think anybody wants to read lots and lots of text in a flash "movie", especially on a site like newgrounds. The color scheme was in itself enough to give me a headache. The content of said text was just as mentally degrading.

Let's try to keep the religious propaganda to a minium. God bless!

Great, another pseudo-DDR flash...

Alright, I've finally seen one too many games like this on NG, and they're all the same. They'd be decent if it wasn't for one thing: hitting the "notes" or whatever should sync up to the beat of the music. Every game like this that I've seen just seems to have them randomly pop up and you have to click them as fast as possible. The music feels like it was an afterthought, to keep people from getting bored relatively quickly....

Coolio-Niato responds:

If you dont recieve perfects the game will not seem synced, when it rly is. I do so with all my music games, hence why this is IN the rhythm games section.
